I would have a vet check it out. My Lexi had an ear infection and would scratch a lot. Her ears also smelled pretty bad. With an ear infection you will not see lethargy or loss of appetite, but ear infections are very uncomfortable for these pups. I feel bad for not recognizing the signs earlier for Lexi. I say the sooner the better to get this checked. We also received ear drops. Lexi hated them, but they helped her feel better, and we haven't had an issue since.
