Our Bella is not a picky eater, so she will pretty much eat anything put in front of her. We had been feeding her Blue Buffalo Small Breed with Lifesource bits. She has a tendency to weep and produce eye boogers. Although this doesn't seem to bother her, we have to clean around her eyes every day or two to remove crusties. Some threads have anecdotally mentioned that grain-free diets may help reduce weeping. Has anyone noticed improvement when switching to Wellness Core Grain-Free for small breeds? It is readily available at our local Petsmart and is competitively priced, so we bought a bag on Saturday and started mixing it with Bella's Blue Buffalo to transition her to the Wellness. So far, she seems to like it as much as the Blue Buffalo, so it shouldn't be a problem getting her to eat it. It's too early to tell if there is any improvement in the weeping since she is still eating a mixture of the two foods, but I'd like to hear peoples' experience with Wellness Core Grain-Free and whether it has reduced weeping in their Yorkies.
