I have 2 Yorkie boys and do all of their grooming at home myself. My boys are in full coat. With your experience in grooming, you are ahead of the game.

For the undercarriage of the boy dog: my boys didn't have much hair underneath for the first few years. They are now 5 and 6 and require more work in that area. I shave the belly and part of the chest, and a little of the interior of the back legs. Some people shave everything underneath.

I leave a 'pee string' or hair on the penis to help direct urine downward, away from the chest and other hair. The pee string isn't very long, maybe quarter to half an inch?? (smaller for small Yorkies)

I trim the hair around the anus, but leave everything else on their booty.

I do not wipe after each potty trip, but we do partial body washes a couple times a week or as necessary. Full bath once a week. The biggest challenge is when my silly boys mark outdoors and tip their bodies almost sideways, causing their long coats to get in the way. Then it is partial bath time.

The combing and brushing gets more challenging as the coat grows longer. I started with a flea comb on Max when he was a pup. Now we have an arsenal of brushes and combs.
