This might help http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...e-breeder.html. You can also try the ytca.org. A puppy from a reputable breeder normally runs $1,000-$2500. Some of the things that I think make a reputable breeder are not letting the pups go before 12 weeks, breeding great examples of the breed, not breeding females under 5 pounds, they know there lines many generations back to know if problems or illnesses on them, they will be AKC registered, they will let you see where the dogs are living and where the puppies have been raised, they don't breed to many breeds, they don't breed mixes, and they have a spay and nueter contract and won't just give breeding rights to someone willing to pay a little more money. I also personally prefer puppies that have been raised in a house around people.
