Some things cannot be asked ... you almost have to take a dog to a vet and watch carefully how the exam is done. Also, take note at how the vet is with you....does he/she listen to you? That is something I find SO important because a good vet or doctor will be a good listener!

Agree with all of Linda's points, especially this one. We left our first vet because she talked at me, rather than discussing things with me. She gave orders, did not want to be questioned, and behaved like there are no options.
