If you haven't yet, you might want to check out AAHA's website...it has a lot of information on it and may give tips on how to pick a vet. I honestly don't know off hand if they do....

Some things cannot be asked ... you almost have to take a dog to a vet and watch carefully how the exam is done. Also, take note at how the vet is with you....does he/she listen to you? That is something I find SO important because a good vet or doctor will be a good listener!

You definitely want to know about anesthesia protocol. There is some information in the YT library on that.
