Default Earliest age

What do you think about getting a Yorkie at a really young age (say 3-4 weeks when the puppy begins to become slightly independent). Won't they bond better with you if you owned them earlier. I've heared rumors that the only reason breeders recommend taking them after 12 weeks is so they can weed out the pet quality pups from the champs for themselves. Why is it so important for a puppy to be with other dogs so early on anyways? Dogs are instinctively dogs and it seems like they only learn bad habits from their siblings (fighting, barking, peeing everywhere.) Do you really want your puppy to bond with the breeder first or you. If you've brought a Yorkie (less than 7 weeks old home) let me know so that I can determine if I am making sense here.
