Welcome to YT, and thank you for rescuing this little girl. Measure the amount of water you give her, start with 1/2 a cup, when you change the water measure again to see if she drank and how much she drank. Make sure your other pup is not drinking from the same water bowl. Hand feed her if you must, this will let you see how much she is eating and can be reported to the vet. I agree with Wylie's Mom and Maximo, it takes a bit of time for these precious little souls to adjust to new environment, new ppl, and new fur buddy. If she is cuddling with you that is a good sign, the start of bonding, she will warm up to Darrell in her own time. It's awesome your little Pap. is showing friendly interest also. The sad part of a rescue is we will never know of their past. Continue what you are doing, show her warmth, love, speak softly to her, she will come around and that yorkie sparkle will come through. Take notes of her food and water intake, take notes of all she does or does not do, have this on hand when you take her to the vet so you can discuss this. I have a little 3 y/o rescue, he is with me 14 months now, he was not abused, he was loved much and spoiled rotten, he was surrendered due to owner finances, I am very fortunate as I keep in contact with prev. owner and found out about all the stress this little boy went through with prev. owner BF. He bonded fast with me, but, for the first 2 days he watched me very closely, he coming from the city, now living in the country, I think running free in the back yard won him over lol. I got him when he was 2 1/2 years old, his name was Theodore, to long a name for me, I changed it to Cody, in 3 days he answered to it. If this little girl does not respond to her given name you can re-name her, just keep repeating it, treat reward, praise, happy dance when she responds. Good luck and please keep us posted on her new life with you.
