Welcome to YT. If you are only noticing the bile in the morning. He may need a little snack before bed. His belly may be empty. These guys have little bellies. Mine eat early in the morning and are usually starved by dinner.
As for the hacking...mine hack after drinking water and Sissy will eat any thing she finds on the floor, hair, lint and then she hacks.
