Not kennel cough, like I said not a honking cough or reverse sneeze just a fast hack when he is running or excited to see me come home from work. Thanks everyone |
Welcome to the club of the mysterious hacking cough. There are a few of us on here whose pups do the same thing. Lexi does it mostly after drinking water. Sometimes when going for a walk with her harness and she pulls she was hack also. Lexi is now 1 and she has done this since I got her at 13 weeks old. The vet doesn't seem too concerned either, but said it does sound tracheal. It hasn't gotten any worse, but it does happen every day. My first thought was collapsed trachea, and the vet said it could turn into that one day, but it's too early to tell at this point. Mindy10 on here also has a pup that does this.
