I agree that it is the luck of the draw. But perhaps if you can, spend some time with the puppy to see if you can get a feel for it's disposition. We got extremely fortunate with Bailey. He's so velcro, he won't leave one of our sides no matter what. That's good and bad. When my wife and I leave at the same time, he freaks out, but in a good way. Now that he knows we'll be back, he will sit on a blanket on the couch in the den. However, if we are getting picked up by friends for a night out and we go out the front door, he will sit at that front window until we return. How do I know? Because when my wife goes out the front to walk with a friend, he will not leave that window by the door until she returns, even thought I'm home. I guess I'm chopped liver! lol |
