I couldnt figure out if he is 3.5 lbs now or that is expected weight from your post? How much does he weigh now? If he is 3.5 lbs at 10 weeks old he is going to be much larger than 3.5 to 4 lbs as an adult even if his parents are that size. You have to look at a lot more than just the parents but it sounds like somewhere down his line they are larger.
