Hi everyone,
As some of you know Cookie was hospitalized. Thank God his blood tests came back ok. I mentioned to my vet that Cookie HATES his Science Prescription L/D diet. He has to have low protein. Anything with low protein is filled with rice,corn and is just plain blah taste! While Cookie was at the vet's ,she checked with a vet nutritionist that has recipes for homemade dogfood for dogs with any liver problems.I did have to buy all the vitamins and not substitute anything.I was nervous and worried that he would not eat it! Well I was so happy when he gobbled it up.He's eaten it for two days now and has not vomited and eats every last tiny piece of food!
My husband was home and the vet called while I was out. She called to see how Cookie was and to know if he ate anything.He told her that Cookie was doing so good and loved the food.When I get home and my hubby tells me that the vet called to see how Cookie was, that really made me happy that she took 1 minute out of her busy day to calls us back the next day.

I have to send her a thank you gift!
