Thank you for all of the wonderful wishes. We rarely close early, and although I teach in a high school, they worry about sending the young children in our district home when their parents may not have gotten home yet. Despite that, with the bad forecasts, we closed two hours early, and it made a huge difference in the drive home. The last big storm took me five hours to get home, but I was grateful to get home. I heard this morning that they are going to close the Long Island Expressway by five tonight, and I was worried about the trip home. Fortunately we are already closed for tomorrow, which will give me lots of time to shovel and be Katie's playmate.
I hope everyone stays safe and warm. |
