I bought an XS harnass at Petsmart before bringing my little guy home. It turned out to be too big. I returned to Petsmart and asked a clerk if there was something smaller. She took me to the small animal section of the store and showed me a ferret/bunny/guinea pig harness: Kaytee brand "Comfort Harness" size med. I did buy it for $10, but after found it very cheaply made, I think it is something to just get my Jack get used to having something on. The little D-ring on the back broke off on the first time he wore it. I only hooked a leash on it for him to get used to just having it dragging around the house. Jack played and pulled on the leash and broke off the D-ring. He is 2lbs and 11 weeks old. So be careful with those!! Again, I think at this age it is just the idea of having something on. This particular harnass would provide absolutely no protection to hold him in a car if I were to hit the brakes hard. I put him in a soft side tote bag style carrier in the car which I feed the seatbelt through the handles of and I can pet him through the open section facing the driver seat. This has worked out well around town and on a 4 hr. round trip last week. I am thinking of trying a buddy belt, but don't want to buy it until he is closer to his full size just due to the expense. Good Luck!
