I use q-tips to clean the inside, outside part of the ear, where those crevices are...
My vet said to be very careful when using q-tips to clean the inside canal of the dog's ears bc it's L shaped. So the q-tip should be angled straight & do not bend it.

So it's best to squeeze some ear cleaner in there, massage it & let them shake all the gunk off. Then wipe away w/a cotton ball.
