Might want to have the vet do a skin scaping to r/o mites or bacterial infection. Of course, it could also be the weather. I know my skin gets dry in the winter. Also, it could be an allergic reaction to her food (like you said) or her shampoo, or any number of things. Would check with the vet to be sure, plus even if it is just dry skin, if she is scratching to the point of scabs, she could get a secondary skin infection. Try putting her in a shirt or onesy or PJ's. That will help with the scratching. I would stay away from bandaids as they can be irritating to the skin, too.
