What I've been doing is right when he does it I put him off the couch or bed right away and he tries to come back up and I say "No you're in time out" and then I let him see me giving Roxy love so he knows she's aloud to come too. He stays off for about 5-10 minutes and then he's aloud back up.
After a few times of that because he hates to be away from me, he won't do it again and when I see Roxy coming I remind him before he wants to get her, I say "Stay and leave Roxy alone", and he pretty much always does now. |
I did the same thing when Dutch would go after the cat except her time out was in the powder room. I would keep her in there for about 10 minutes and she hated it. After doing that for a few times, she gradually left the cat alone.
