Note re cricket's ibs

Dear Wylie's mom,
Thank you much for your interest and advice...You give alot of really good advice. How long have you had yorkies that you have gleaned so much info that you are so willingto share?
Our little Cricket lives in Fremont Co. and her vet is quite experienced but is not a specialist. CSU as you know is the vet school but is far away in Frt Collins. Our little Muffin oldest of them all has Cushings and is treated by same vet and her symptoms also involved gi tract, appetite, mentation, activity, but with treatment - at her age she is thriving, All her gi symptoms are minimized and her appetite and activity, mentation all improved alot. Cricket's symptoms are so different. Vet said absolutely no fats, so very strict diet for her and the use of azathioprine. Her said she had a crohn's like disease but treated differently than humans, can't remember exact name he used. Mom doesn't want to break trust with our vet and money is a factor, since so much has been spent already. These kids' meds aren't inexpensive and are maintenance and the special diet....
My mom is who goes with these girls to the vet and alot of this is second hand. Maybe there is nothing else but I will keep digging around and will have my mom ask the vet for a referral to a specialist in the area,
Thank you so much again.
btw where did you grow up in colorado? I didn't catch where you live now?
Hope you get a chance to visit, dont know how long you have been gone but so very much has changed here, No longer lots of empty spaces and miles of land while driving on interstate. tons and tons of traffice all the time everywhere. Huge influx of folks looking for the wacky weed to treat disease states for themselves, kids, and no jobs to support them....lots of related crime as cartels have become intrenched to benefit from the profits of the industry. It is not so easy to find someplace where you can be alone without others crossing your path I remember being able to go places where you could hike all day and never see or hear another person or civilization!
But what is all this beauty if it is not to be shared, right?
Take care and I will let you know if we get more info about Cricket, referral etc ok?\
Thank you again, I love this place, I spend so many hours going through shared tidbits...never have had so much fun, been bouyed up by the sharing and kindness of you all!
I don't quite know how to use all the different cyber tools you have available, this is quite the amazing site and the developers, webmasters, whoever does all this just must be amazing! I know I am highly impressed with the wisdom and forethought...wow
