He has higher than normal bile acids but an MRI proved no exterior shunt on his liver but believed to have interior shunting. He also has grade 2 and 3 luxating patellas.

I chose to treat him completely holistically for his seizures - and now he has them about 4 times a year but gets monthly laser, chiropractic and now accupuncture treatments and daily herbs and homeopathic treatment. I also make all of his food. His care is not cheap lol but he has a lot of spring in his step as he tries to keep up with his 2 yr old Morkie brother.

I personally will never buy another dog again as I volunteer with a wonderful small dog rescue and most likely would choose a mix instead of purebred (due to this experience) but we will see what the future holds! Love my two furbabies so dearly!

You had me in total agreement, with not wanting to BUY another dog, but would choose a rescue....great idea, socially beneficial, and wonderful for some little innocent pup that has been left to a rescue situation.

BUT, then you correlated your bad experience with that pup being a purebred, as opposed to poorly bred. I want to assure people that may be reading this post, that it is a myth that purebreds are automatically cursed with health issues, whereas mixes or "mutts" are the picture of health. That is just not true. There is a HUGE difference between "purebred" and "poorly bred"....these terms are NOT synonymous and are not interchangeable.

I am so sorry you are having the horrific issues you are having with your precious Enzo. These issues are not because he is a purebred but because of congenital /genetic birth issues, some of which could be considered breeding/breeder related.
