My Sophie Kate (the picture in my profile) has suffered from Pancreatitis since she was a little over 1 years old, she is now 6.5 and is doing extremely well.
My suggestion to you is get her teeth looked and resolved and then put her on a very strict diet of low fat food, Sophie Kate eats nothing but Hills ID (a prescription food) and as far as treats she eats low fat dog pretzels from Petco. She gets nothing else, no matter how much she begs and spins around like a ballerina.
I will tell you it took a couple of months and some additional Vet stays until we figured out exactly what she could tolerate (nothing). It also took a lot of visits to the Vet and blood work to check her levels.
Your dog can gain weight on the special foods, in fact that is one of the issues I have with Sophie Kate, keeping her weight at around 8 lbs. I would have to wonder if maybe she is losing weight because of her bad tooth, lets hope the removal of that will help.
