The vet said she's fine and it's probably just allergies to the new carpet cleaner I used. She said clean the carpet and don't worry.

Bonnie has had her "well puppy" check and is current on her shots but I have read so much about tracheal collapse and liver shunts that I'm terrified. Any suggestions on how to relax?😱
I can empathize with you. I remember feeling the same way, and I, too, have had animals all my life. I think what gets us is Yorkies are delicate. There's no getting around that. You want to do everything you can to protect them.

But I have to admit they are a hardier breed than I thought. I used to rush them to the vet and pay $60 every time, but the advice was often the same. They're fine. Give them some bland food for a couple days. One had bad reverse sneezing that would give me fits, but the vet told me not to worry. And sure enough, the symptoms went away after a time.

I think the advice that got through to me was someone's advice here on YT -- kids get sick, and you don't rush them to the emergency room every time there's a sniffle. You learn to let them heal themselves.

But I agree: It's not always easy!
