Personally, I would be cautious of purchasing bully sticks from pet stores where they are stored out in the open for anyone to come along and handle. I know that seems oxy moron because of what bully sticks are made from, but quality is important. Make sure you are purchasing products made only in the USA, range fed, grain free is my preference too. Also, many pet store products seem to really smell when your pet chews on them. I mean, I don't think there is really an "odor free" bully stick, but some of them REALLY do smell gross. I think some are soaked in a "smoke" solution (that's an opinion not a known fact), and some do cause intestinal upset in dogs which is more reason to closly monitor your pups and take notes when giving them so you can be certain. I buy all my bully sticks from bestbullysticks.com I purchase odor free and I get the ones that are 12" long and the "thick" ones. They last a very long time. I never leave them lay out I always monitor their chew times 15-20 minutes at a time. I go in spurts where I'll give mine bully sticks, then I take a break for a while because they do seem to pull out their beards when they chew on a regular basis and I don't like that.
