I would like to thank everyone for their replies, I took away at 3 inches. This poor little boy was so happy to chew, I was scared he would sallow the 3 inches. I have little adopted boy 14 months now but am still learning about him. I don't know if his prev. owner ever gave him chew things since they never gave him any toys.
