There are not any restrictions as far as hereditary diseases. In fact, they do blood tests at 9 months to check liver function in Yorkies due to the possible liver shunt. I realize the cost, however I had this plan for a male kitten that was healthy when I got him. Within his first year he had cat acne, a twisted intestine, and an eye issue. I was able to take him for as many visits as necessary at no additional cost and saved on the surgery and meds. Just knowing I can go anytime and have great care is worth the cost. As for out of area, you have to submit the receipts but I have not had to do this.
