They need to check his lungs to see if he has fluid on the lungs. If he does then he needs to be put on water pills and that might help the cough. My maltese had a bad englarged heart and would cough but the water pills did not help because the cough was due to the heart pressing on the trachea. Also he should be put on heart meds. |
