Piper had it a bit tough as she was coming in heat when spayed. My vet said to try to keep her from jumping on/off furniture and to give pain medication a couple of hours after returning home. Shortly after returning home, poor little Piper couldn't get comfortable and began stretching her little neck, in addition to shifting her position constantly. I called my vet and she said Piper was exhibiting signs of being in pain and to give her pain medication right away instead of waiting. Within 15 min of getting medication, Piper slept. By the end of day two she was jumping off couch--just too fast for me to intercede--but none-the-worse-for-wear--Piper, not me, I was a wreck!!! Anyway, they say patients who take pain medication as prescribed, heal days quicker than those who "tough" their way through it...I hope both your little ones are back to perky and healthy soon.
