Wow, was there much discussion on this in your town before they passed this law? After reading all these stories on YT where pounds give dogs away and don't notify owners - I sure hope that if one of the pups in your town gets picked up that they do scan the dogs and CALL THE OWNERS! Hope that's part of the law.
I'm not a big fan of chipping - because I would NEVER HAVE A CHIP PUT IN ME! But I adopted my dogs and it was probably at least 6 mths after I had them, that the gal I got them from mentioned the dogs were chipped.
My vet thinks it is the way to go - I just wonder if there could be any long term effects? And how long micro chips were studied before they started giving them out.
So much of what is in our environment later turns out to be hazardous - but there's no use worrying about any of it! LOL |
