I've had mixed feelings about collars and tags in the past, worried that they'd get caught on something. Years ago my mini schnauzer's s-hook on her tag got caught on a blanket and she was tangled on my bed for a while before I found her. If she jumped, she would have hung herself.
However, I realize the risk of having ID on the pups, especially Tiki who darts and runs if given a chance. She even found a way to climb through bushes hanging off a cliff over the ocean to get into my neighbors yard (chasing a cat), and that opens up to a busy road.
I got her a thin collar with the slide through ID tag, so it is inline and not hanging. Previous to that I had the collar that has name and number embroidered on it. I like both of these much better than hanging clanging tags. |
