so glad you picked her up, you have good advice and I would like to take it a step further. Make sure you update tag info, several times I have picked up dogs and the number on the collar was old or they got rid of their land line in favor of a cell but never changed the number. Also a chip is great but does not replaces the collar many people that find a dog will think to have it checked for a chip or will take days to do it. Also when you travel get a tag with the contact number of the person taking care of your dog. My sister went on vacation out of the country once and her dog got out on my parents, the only number on the tag was her home phone so the person that found the dog kept calling there and got no answer, the dog's micro chip had my parents number as a back up contact but the person that found her had her 4 days and never had her scanned. |
