Default Yorkie Sensitive Stomach/GI Problems

Looking for some advice from other Yorkie moms and dads who have fur babies with sensitive tummies.

Teddy is 3 years old and has been struggling with tummy problems for about 2 years.

A little background about Teddy's issues: he had no problems with foods or treats until 2 summers ago when he got ahold of some sugar free candy that contained xylitol. We almost lost him because of the xylitol toxicity. After this occurred his stomach was never the same, about 3 times a month he would get bloody stools that where almost completely mucous. His stomach was very loud, always rumbling, and he would vomit bile very once in awhile as well. After taking him to a vet and running multiple tests, including bloodwork the vet recommended Purina Vet Diet EN food. This seemed to fix the problem for about a month until he returned to his old way with tummy problems. The only thing that stopped them completely is adding probiotics to his food.

Since he's regular again due to the probiotics(purina fortiflora), I want to switch his food to a more nutritious dry food, Since the purina vet diets never did anything for his tummy issues and the fact that they have a horrible ingredient list.

Can anyone suggest any good dry foods that they have success with and helped with recurring diarrhea and occasional bile vomiting? I currently am trying out Merrick Grain Free Limited Ingredient Salmon and Sweet Potato dry food but its only been one day so far.
