Because you say that your 2 yo was housebroken and now isn't, in your opinion, I would recommend taking him to the vet to rule out any health issues. Sometimes, animals pee to alert that they are not well because the sickness will "announce" itself to other animals via scent.
If he's peeing a LOT after you've taken him out, it's unlikely to be marking. My Teddy marks and it's drips. He can mark a lot if he's not been out in awhile but never a lot after he's just been out.
I think a vet visit is in order first and, in the mean time, do not allow him free reign of the home. Teddy is now tethered to me or within constant supervision until his belly band arrives. A belly band is another solution but please don't use this INSTEAD of a vet visit first.
