One thing that worked very well when Callie had surgery was a stroller because I could set it up all comfy and put her in it and have her with me if I was at my desk, in the kitchen or doing anything. It was summer when she had her knee surgery but I would take her for walks in the stroller outside for fresh air. She is not a jumper though so not sure if that would work with a jumper or not. Callie was on crate rest for 11 weeks. She had lots of things go wrong incesion busted open, infection, pins had to be removed and stuff. I know at the sound of it and at the begaining it seems like it's forever and you won't be able to do it but you can and it's not as long as it first seems. You just make sure to celebrate every small victory and every week that goes by. You also have to push through and remind your self the surgery is for the best and for a better future for him.
