So I took Max to the Vet this afternoon. He had impacted anal glands. She also noticed a polyp in his anal area which she will take at a look at a later date because he is so raw from scooting and licking that she can't do anything about that now. We have an appointment in two weeks to take a look at that further. What she did was drain the glands and because of the itching and pain he was having she gave him a shot that would ease the itching and numb the area so he would not pick at it so that it can heal.
