whats interesting is this : Loki favors his back left foot, yet the pain (which the doctor indicates) is on his right side- I noticed when she touches his limping leg- he allows her to pull, and touch, but when he touches his right side they are not able to.

This is way confusing.. Any suggestions? Loki has a 8:30am apt this Thursday, and I pray we can find out.
There are a lot of (relatively) painless conditions that can keep a Yorkie from using a leg. My theory is that the left back leg has one of these conditions, and the right leg has a more acute, painful injury (like a sprain or muscle tear) because Loki has been forced to use it in order to compensate for the left leg issue. Definitely keep Loki as calm as possible until the vets have been able to figure this all out. That means no running or jumping. If it were me, I'd confine him to a crate, except for eating, drinking, and pottying, until the problem has been diagnosed. Keep us posted!
