I hope its not Valley Fever too, but it is also not a death sentence. Most dogs do really well with it. We nearly lost my little guy from the pneumonia. His WBC's climbed to nearly 40,000 and none of the antibiotics were any help. When we finally got the VF diagnosis and got him on meds for both, he improved amazingly fast. Then it was just a matter of continuing the fluconazole for a couple of years until the fungus finally cleared. After the initial infection it did not really affect his quality of life.
