OMG morels are so good and SO expensive! I've only had them once. If they shrivel and dry you can still reconstitute them. I think I had the dried ones and they were still delicious!

Just thought of another strange food item. It's called nem (vietnamese pork sausage)..its grounded raw pork with pork skin, pickled thai chili and garlic...a powder is added to it for it to "cook" (cured)....My mom used to make this for vietnamese new year...it is so good. It can be made with beef also but I like the pork version. |
I love nem! I always buy some when I go to a place that has them. Then I have stinky garlic breath all day. I don't think it's that weird though. I wonder if I could make it myself. It's so much cheaper to make everything at home. I've been making a lot of my own fermented foods now, so I guess this shouldn't be that different. Gonna go look it up now.
