Hi there. If you keep the pads in a certain location, he should not confuse them with blankets. I would start him by placing him on the pad when you know he has to go (first thing in morning, for example). Give him a command to pee (we use "Be Clean!) and see if he goes. Treat if he does. Let us know how it works out! This is typically not a problem esp when a dog is used to paper pads. Fingers Crossed for you and Remy!
