Bubba loves his vet. She is one of a fairly large practice but we try to see just her. I like continuity of care. All I have to do is say to him, do you want to go see Dr. S and he is at the door waiting to go. As soon as he sees her, he smiles like crazy. I think he remembers that she saved his life when we first got him. He came to us coughing on the first day and saw her. He had a bad case of kennel cough and it progressed to pneumonia so bad she wasn't sure he would live. Then a few years later he had HGE and was hospitalized again. So he really loves her.
Sissy, well she is her own special self. She was a rescue as a puppy, totally unsocialized and it took quite a while for her to trust us. Some days she doesn't seem sure of my husband but I think she tolerates him because he feeds them but won't cuddle with him. When she gets to the vet, she is stiff as a board as Dr. S tells the tech, don't even bother trying to take her temp because she has her little stump so tight over her butt that you'll never get there.
