I used to take the boys out every day as long as the temp reached about 25 - 30 degrees. We have been wimpier this winter.
Teddy likes to wear boots if there is snow. Max doesn't mind cold paws.
Avoiding salt is a challenge. Even with protective footwear, my biggest concern is that the doggies will lick the salt.
