I, too, was overwhelmed in the beginning. It took a while for me to get over the anxiety of this condition....every time Cookie looked even a tad bit off, I would run to the vet and have blood work done. I still watch her closely, but I am so much more relaxed about it now. She is on the same home cooked diet that she was put on at the time and she loves it!  She recently had blood work done and all is well.
Does your Shyanne have symptoms? Is she on medications? Have they suggested a food for her?

Oh wow so glad to hear a success story. It is a huge change for us ( I have another Yorkie as well) and I certainly have been overwhelmed!! She is doing a little bit better right now but is on a prescription diet and lots of meds!!
