When Roxy was young, she was like this with the dishwasher. It is really super quiet, & I couldn't figure out why it spooked her. So one night after I started it, & she was in her fear mode, I picked her up & went & sat on the floor leaning right up against the dishwasher. Talked go her quietly, gave her occasional treats when she started calming down. We sat there for quite some time, but after she was completely calm for several minutes I let her go, she was fine & hasn't acted like she even hears it ever since. It was like she realized somehow that it was OK and there was nothing to fear. Issue over and done with! Yayyy!!!
