I would never recomend getting a pet for your pet. If *you* want another, then OK, but don't get one for him.
That being said, he may be missing his new friends, is there a way they can still visit and have play dates? That may be the best way to keep him happy without the work and expense of another pet.
As far as him acting distant towards you, you may need to entice him with a favorite game or treat. Sounds like he had a grand time while on his 'vacation,' now it's time to get back into his normal routine. Maybe try something new and interesting - clicker train some fun tricks - dogs love to learn and they tend to bond closely with those who spend time training them. |
