 Puppy pads
Is it normal for mom to chew up puppy pads? We have a rescued stray lab/rottie mix we are fostering who ended up being pregnant and having a single pup. Her boy is now 2 1/2 weeks old and beginning to relieve himself, so I set up a puppy pad for him. Mom (about 18 months - 2 years) is chewing up the pads. I am not sure if this is just because she is a young lab and likes destroy stuff or because she is trying to clean up after him as she usually does. I know you guys normally deal with yorkies but thought you might have a better understanding and have some suggestions. (Don't worry mom is set for spay after puppy weaned & puppy already has future home set) |
