A pet carrier is a great idea since they will have to get used to being in one when you are away or in the car etc.. If you start early with these, they actually really start to love their carriers and view them as a place of safety. We put blankets in Teddy's carrier so he can sleep in it off and on in the day as well as all night. He also has a soft bed but he digs it like a maniac during his "nesting" phase each night so I prefer the carrier as there is nothing soft to dig out of it unlike the bed!
