Supposedly you put the small (less than 1" long) pieces in the MW and they puff up like popcorn. Then they can be eaten quickly. But the whole pieces you don't have to put in the MW. I tried a few times, and only once did it puff up like it was supposed to. Then the whole house smelled like burnt cheese.
I like them bc mine don't LOVE them like stinky bully sticks or pricey wishbones. They chew on them when they are bored. Uni usually does it after her dinner. They last forever. Mine haven't had issues with the teeth bc again I don't think they love them that much to chew so hard. But we do have two members here who posted above me they both had teeth chip from using them.
