I am assuming this is the front leg? I have seen a few pups do very well with this surgery. The only pups I have seen not do well with fractured front legs are the ones where the vet only splints the leg There is only a 5% chance of that splint working on those bones in the front leg. Kudos to your vet for reaching out to a specialist and to you for seeing that she gets the proper care.
I am sorry .. I know how hard it is to see a pup hurting; but I think you will be surprised at how well she handles it.
Please keep us posted on her recovery!
