You can have a Bile Acid Test done on your baby and that will tell you if you have a problem with Liver Shunt. Your baby will need to be fasted and then left at the Vet for the day for the test. They draw two blood samples to test for this.
They draw one blood sample and then they feed them a High protein food and wait at least two hours and them draw another blood sample and send it off.
It is a very easy test to do. Results should take about 3-5 day's.
