I was having this same problem and started that thread that Lisaly links to above.
What solved it for me was adding a splash of Odoban to the laundry - just awesome! OdoBan 1 gal. Eucalyptus Odor Eliminator and Disinfectant Multi-Purpose Cleaner Concentrate-911061-G - The Home Depot
