None of this sounds good for your poor little fella. If it were me I would go further from home and find a reputable vet that could examine him...something is going on. It is worth any distance to drive for another opinion. To suggest you starve him for 4 or 5 days is ridiculous IMO. You sound very concerned and want him well so I say find another vet who will get to the bottom of all his ailments...and best of luck, your little guy deserves to feel better!
